OME was asked by a JV company operating in the Cebu coalmines if it could assist with advice and training of its local workforce in order to bring the drill program back on schedule. After advising on the purchase of a new Cortech drill rig they provided management skills and and experienced crews to show the local labour force how a drill program should be run. Daily metres have increased from around 3 to an average of 30.
OME will continue working in the Philippines over the short term, and sees further opportunities for the company in the region.
